WOW! How can you explain the measure of God’s grace and wisdom in his life, Nathaniel Bassey is that man of God. Having read through these inspiring words, I felt the burden to share with everyone I could possibly reach & I pray that you would be inspired too.
Let me state here as clearly as possible because we live in that time Paul the Apostle spoke about – the era when the doctrine of devils, and seeker friendly messages for those with itchy ears, sitting around “teachers” who say what they want to hear, will flourish. The truth of the matter is that you can justify anything with the scriptures, even fornication, if you so choose. But there are still some folks out there who would not handle the word of God deceitfully and with craftiness.
We live in that time of history when the lines between good and bad, holy and profane, moral and immoral, truth and lies are becoming, or better put, made to become thin and almost invisible. The gospel we preach is thus called the gospel of light. Light is so conspicuous and self evident. Thank God for NEPA, the average Nigerian knows the difference between light and darkness. When power is restored at night, you don’t need a prophet to tell you light has come. You just know it.
“14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?”
Now, to the point of the day. And I hope to deliver my view point blank.
Gospel music is different from worldly music. Don’t deceive your self trying to define the two. It’s clear enough. One is inspired by the Holy Spirit, and the other isn’t. It’s that simple. It’s pointless trying to start up a debate on the two. And trying to justify why and how the two can mix and flow. My light and darkness analogy should solve that question.To the young music ministers coming up, be careful what you read and listen to. Be like the Berian believers. Check for your self. Evaluate every idea against the backdrop of God’s word. Don’t build your life based on what some person wrote on twitter or facebook, not even me. Know the word and the Holy Spirit for yourself. We are in that time when the doctrine of devils is being preached with such eloquence of speech and grammar. DONT BE FOOLED. There is a kingdom of light and of darkness. They are heaven and hell apart.
