So I finally downloaded Mali Music’s recent studio titled – Mali Is and boy, was I blown away? Well, TBH, I was BLOWN away. Like, literally BLOWN away. Mali Music goes ahead to show the traits of a talented & gifted artiste. Mali Is is the artiste’s first secular album after this debut album – The 2econd Coming, but before you sigh or try to judge, I’ll suggest you hit the download button and listen to the message behind this track tiltled – Little Lady.
Little Lady starts off with a picture of a Stevie Wonder-esque
singing and with Mali playing away at grand piano. It comes across
more as an interlude than a whole song track. It’s creatively clumsy and
here and there. It might not totally draw you in but would stir some
admiration.
Mali Music’s goal is to encourage listeners with biblical perspectives:
Live righteously, have faith, love others as God loves us and love
yourself. He wisely turns cameos away on Mali Is…, keeping his own soulfully textured voice and spiritual raps at the center.
A wholesome listen that’s heavy on food for thought and seasoned with a pinches of the good word.
“Your heart’s been broken and you’re terrified (Little Lady) /Gently down the stream (Mercedes) / Merrily, merrily, merrily (Little lady) / Life is but a dream (Mercedes, Little lady) / Just a little girl / (Mercedes) grown up in a cold, cold world (Little lady) / Where nothing is what it seems (Mercedes, Little lady)”
A wholesome listen that’s heavy on food for thought and seasoned with a pinches of the good word.
Download, listen, enjoy!
