Esther Ogbuagu-Obinwa aka “the Ebony of Jesus” was born in Akure, Nigeria. Esther is the new sensation in the gospel music scene today. A gifted vocalist, song writer and a distinguished worship leader.
Esther studied Biochemistry at the Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Nigeria, where she obtained a BSc second-class Honours, Upper Division.
As an undergraduate, she was a member of the City of David Choir, House On The Rock, Enugu where she enjoyed huge tutelage from music icons like Asari Otu and many others.
Esther sings fluently in her native Igbo, Yoruba and English Language. Her unique style of fusing these different languages makes her lyrics captivating.
Her latest single – ‘Ebube’ is fast becoming a Gospel Anthem and easily the most preformed song by worshipers in churches today. ‘Ebube’ has enjoyed tremendous goodwill and support from the media and fans around the world.
Her amiable personality, soothing style and sincerity of delivery has been a big asset.
Esther is married and is blessed with three lovely kids.
