Outspoken Christian rapper Lecrae will be releasing a new book, titled – Unashamed sometime
next year in which he reveals details about his childhood abuse, and
struggles with drugs, alcoholism, bouts of depression and a suicide
attempt.

about writing this book,” he said. “I want to be honest about where I’ve
come from and what I’ve learned along the way. I want to influence
culture, to help catalyze and inspire, and help other people find
understanding. If they find some inspiration and some clarity for their
own lives, as they follow my journey, then I will have succeeded.”

Lecrae and B&H publishers will embark on a multi-city media and promotional tour to promote the book.

Lecrae’s career reached new heights last year as he achieved the No. 1 album on Billboard Top 200 with Anomaly. He also snagged his second Grammy win this year for Best Contemporary Christian Song/Performance for his song “Messengers.”
